Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

 

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 outlines that PureTech Electrical Products Ltd prepare a modern slavery and human trafficking statement each financial year.

 

The Company

 

This statement applies to PureTech Electrical Products Ltd (referred to in this statement as “the Company”).

 

Our Business

 

PureTech Electrical Products Ltd is a private limited company and an industry leading distributor of CCTV and Security products, emphasising innovation, diverse product offerings and customer loyalty.

 

Definitions

 

The Company considers that modern slavery encompasses:

 

  • human trafficking
  • forced work, through mental or physical threat
  • being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse or the threat of abuse
  • being dehumanised, treated as a commodity or being bought or sold as property
  • being physically constrained or to have restriction placed on freedom of

 

Commitment

 

PureTech Electrical Products Ltd acknowledges its responsibilities in relation to tackling modern slavery and commits to complying with the provisions in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We understand that this requires an ongoing review of both our internal practices in relation to our labour force and, additionally, our supply chains.

 

We do not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

 

No labour provided to the Company is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking. We strictly adhere to the standards required in relation to our responsibilities under relevant employment legislation in the UK.

 

Our Policy Statement is available to all employees via the company’s HR information system and is included in our Employee Handbook which is issued to all employees.

 

Compliance

 

All of our employees are required to:

 

  • Read, understand and comply with this policy, and avoid any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy.
  • Notify their immediate manager as soon as possible if they suspect that a conflict with this policy has occurred or may occur in the future.

 

Assessing and managing risk

 

PureTech Electrical Products Ltd seeks to develop supply chains with reputable and transparent businesses operating globally, where strict and enforced regulation ensures fair and ethical treatment of employees.

The Company considers its exposure to slavery/human trafficking to be relatively limited and has not, to its knowledge, conducted any business with another organisation which has been found to have involved itself with modern slavery.

 

Management at all levels are responsible for ensuring those reporting to them understand and comply with this policy.

 

In accordance with section 54(4) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, the Company has taken the following steps to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place:

 

  • Periodic audits are expected to confirm our major supplier’s compliance with modern slavery legal requirements
  • Corrective action plans and measures for those suppliers that fail to comply with this policy

 

Ongoing Review

 

PureTech Electrical Products Ltd will review it’s supply chain and internal operations to ensure compliance with this policy.

 

The Directors will review the Company’s Statement in pursuance of s.54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and this will be reviewed each financial year.
